Monique is the general counsel for Suffolk Construction’s Northwest Region, which includes Northern California, Oregon, Washington and Montana. Monique focuses her practice in the areas of complex construction contracts, project administration, governmental compliance, and construction-related claims. Monique is a board-certified construction attorney and a committee member of Suffolk’s Diversity & Inclusion Council. Prior to joining Suffolk, Monique was a senior associate at an international construction law firm with notable client work such as the representation of construction managers, general contractors, public entities and sureties on a range of complex construction contracts, project administration, and commercial litigation matters. During this time, she also served on the Diversity Committee of the American Bar Association’s Construction Forum. Monique received her BA in Criminology from the University of Florida. While attending the University of Florida, Monique was a member of the women’s basketball team and was drafted 53rd overall by the Portland Fire in the WNBA 2002 draft. She received her JD from the University of Florida Levin College of Law.
