Hear from two experts on the rapidly advancing state of construction robotics who will describe how exoskeletons and robotics are beginning to help companies speed production, safeguard worker health and safety, ease construction labor shortages and cope with social distancing constraints. Contractor Stephen Muck, one of the co-founders of Advanced Construction Robotics, will describe what it took to bring ACR’s rebar-tying robot, TyBot, to market in just 18 months, followed by development of another robot, IronBot, for lifting, carrying and setting rebar for horizontal concrete placement operations. These experts say robotic technology has a near limitless future within construction, where it can take on the most mundane, repetitious, or hazardous tasks, while improving the speed and efficiency of work.
