Amy B. Zucchi is the founder and managing director for The Karlyn Group, a NYC-based boutique agency that handles marketing and sales strategy, social media, design and event management for small to medium sized companies. Amy's past experience has been in the construction industry and she currently heads up the Karlyn Group’s construction portfolio that includes events, webinars, content creation, sales and business development. The Karlyn Group programs some of ENR’s regional conferences on building topics including the Metropolitan Transit Authority, the School Construction Authority, the Port Authority of New York/New Jersey, and the higher education and healthcare sectors, as well as managing several webinars and special sections within the AEC industry.

Howie Ferguson

Prior to that he spent approximately 28 years as an institutional owner, including 19 years at the University of Florida as a Senior Project Manager and Assistant Director in UF's division of Planning Design & Construction. From 1999 through July 2018, Ferguson managed the planning/programming, design, and construction of more than $400 million worth of capital improvement projects. He also served as the lead for internal training and was instrumental in the University's effort to continuously improve its project management and delivery processes and documents. A native of Pensacola, Ferguson graduated from UF with a Bachelor's degree in civil engineering in May 1990. Upon commissioning at Officer Candidate School in Newport, RI, he spent the ensuing nine years as a U.S.. Naval Civil Engineer Corp Officer. Along with facilities and construction management tours in Portsmouth, NH, and Kings Bay, GA, he deployed with the Navy Seabees to Guam, Oman, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, and Rota, Spain, and returned to UF to earn a Master's in Engineering (Construction Management). Howie is a registered Professional Engineer in the state of Florida. He is married to the former Alice Ann Woolf (also from Pensacola) and is the proud father of two daughters, Blythe and Brooke.

At Dodge Data & Analytics, Steve Jones focuses on how emerging economic, practice and technology trends are transforming the global design and construction industry. In addition to hundreds of speaking engagements around the world and numerous articles in industry publications, he produces Dodge Data & Analytics’ SmartMarket Reports on key industry trends, which are read by millions worldwide and frequently cited as authoritative references.

Steve holds an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and a BA from The Johns Hopkins University. He has a track record of active leadership in many industry initiatives and serves as a judge for numerous industry awards.

Before joining Dodge, Steve was Vice President of Primavera Systems (now part of Oracle), the global leader in project management software. Prior to that, Steve spent 19 years in creative and management roles with top architectural/engineering firms, most recently as a Principal and Board of Directors member with Burt Hill, one of the largest A/E firms in the US (now merged with Stantec).

Tom Sawyer is a journalist focused on information technology for the construction industry. He defines that broadly as anything that helps leverage data to improve the design, safe delivery and use of facilities and infrastructure. Through nearly 20 years as an editor with the nation’s primary construction industry news publication, Engineering News-Record, Tom delivered weekly reports, features, analyses and videos about technology developments, while playing a key role in programming and producing conferences and events. He led the production of ENR’s annual FutureTech conferences, where significant technology advancements that are poised to benefit construction often are unveiled. His involvement in construction began as an underage office boy in his father’s architecture firm and continued as he worked construction through college breaks and summers.
