ENR MidAtlantic is proud to announce the winners of its 2014 Best Projects competition, honoring the top projects in Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia and the District of Columbia. ENR MidAtlantic named Skanska USA its Contractor of the Year in the region, which covers Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia and the District of Columbia.
While several firms in the mid-Atlantic region continue to see gradual improvements in revenues, a large majority has yet to see a return to pre-recession levels.
ENR MidAtlantic compiled data from design firms throughout Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia and the District of Columbia in preparation for our annual Top Design Firms issue. Our June 9 issue will rank the top firms by revenue, breaking down data to include the largest firms by state and by sector.
ENR MidAtlantic is compiling its annual list of Top Starts, which offers a snapshot of construction project among major private owners, developers and government entities.
ENR MidAtlantic has named DC Water its 2014 Owner of the Year. Faced with strict new regulations regarding water quality in the Chesapeake Bay, the District of Columbia Water and Sewer Authority, known as DC Water, is in the heart of a massive multi-billion-dollar program to upgrade its wastewater treatment system.
