Zinc Nacional is considering constructing a zinc oxide plant at its Waelz oxide production site in Millport, Alabama or Logansport, Indiana. The project scope includes design and construction of building space and equipment foundations; purchase and erection of structural steel; and purchase and installation of conveyors, storage bins/silos, and melting, vaporization, oxidation, conditioning, blending and dust collection equipment. The plant will have the capacity to produce 10,000 tons per year of French process and custom-made zinc oxides using zinc from the company’s electric arc furnace dust recycling facility in Logansport as feedstock. GEORGIA

Igneo is planning to construct a metals recovery facility at SeaPoint Industrial Terminal Complex at the Port of Savannah. Project scope includes construction of building space and equipment foundations; installation of electronic waste receiving, crushing, shredding and mechanical separation equipment, a furnace, heat recovery steam generator, reagent injection and NOx reduction systems, process vessels and cooling, conditioning and testing equipment. Wood PLC has been selected to provide engineering services for the project. The facility will produce a homogenized copper and precious metals concentrate from electronic waste. NEW HAMPSHIRE

Pitco Frialator Inc. is planning to construct a commercial cooking equipment manufacturing complex on a 23-acre site in Concord. The project scope includes construction of a 356,000-sq-ft building for manufacturing, warehouse and office space; and relocation and installation of fabrication, welding, machining, cutting, finishing, assembly and packaging equipment. Operations will be consolidated from three existing company facilities in Concord, Pembroke and Bow, N.H. Warrenstreet Architects Inc. has been selected to design the building and Harvey Construction has been selected to provide general construction services. Construction is expected to begin in 2022.
