Oshkosh Defense is planning to establish a plant at the Flatwood Industrial Park in Spartanburg, where it will assemble zero-emission battery electric and low-emission internal combustion engine fleet vehicles. The project scope includes reconfiguration of warehouse space; and purchase and installation of overhead cranes and hoists, automated conveyors, and automated welding and assembly, parts storage and testing equipment. The project scope includes design and construction of a 100,000-sq-ft building with cooler space and ripening rooms; purchase and installation of refrigeration systems, racking, a packing line bin infeed system, automated tray fillers, a manual exit conveyor system, bagging machines; and purchase of forklifts and pallet jacks.
