Donald C. Grant,chairman of Grant Masonry Contracting Co., Fenton, Mo., died on Feb. 24 at age 88. He was a Captain in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, later joining the commercial construction business his father founded in 1946. The firm was involved in projects that included the Gateway Arch Museum and the St. Louis Zoo. Grant was former president of the Mason Contractors Association of America and the St. Louis chapter, and had been a board member of the International Masonry Institute. Among his recognitions. he received the American Subcontractors Association Midwest Council Legacy Award in 2015.
