The 1100 Louisiana Experience is a 4K LED display with a 36-ft-dia main canvas that is the largest commercial office indoor digital installation of its kind in downtown Houston. The floor-to-ceiling digital wall is connected to the building’s centralized escalators, which lead to the downtown tunnel system. At the tunnel level, vertical LED light bands transect stainless steel panels, drawing the eye upward to the lobby where the digital screen is in full view. During installation, the escalators directly below the existing travertine facade where the LED screen would be installed had to remain open. Gallant and BETCO Scaffolding teamed together to create a tunnel for the escalator with an 800-sq-ft dance floor platform above.
