New York City-based design firm Thornton-Tomasetti announced a management succession as of Jan. 1. Sarah Johnson, corporate sponsorship director of Britain’s HS2 Ltd., the firm building the country’s multibillion-dollar high-speed rail system, has been named CEO of the government organization that will oversee the $5.4-billion upgrade of London’s 1,100-room Palace of Westminster, which houses Parliament and dates to the mid-19th century. The so-called “shadow sponsor body” was established in 2018 to set the scope, budget and schedule of the Parliament restoration and oversee execution. The project is set to complete by the mid-2020s, a renovation program spokesman says.

Arcadis has namedNilesh Parmaras its first chief entrepreneur for its U.K. operations. He was the Dutch design firm’s London-based regional leader for manufacturing, logistics and technology work. The new role was created to “bring entrepreneurial flair to new business creation,” says Arcadis.

Suder

David P. Suder, the Anaheim, Calif.-based west coast unit president and CEO of specialty interiors contractor KHS&S, died on Oct. 7, the firm posted on its web page. He was 58. A firm spokesman said the cause of his death in his sleep was still being determined. He said COOPhil Cherne将担任代理单位首席执行官。
