The pedestrian bridge at 18th Street in Denver’s Central Platte Valley opened March 5, providing a second connecting point to Riverfront Park and Commons Park from Union Station and Lower Downtown.

The renovation ofMitchell Hall, the facility that serves as the cadet dining area at theU.S. Air Force Academyin Colorado Springs, completed in February, two months ahead of schedule.

JE Dunn Construction Co., Denver and Colorado Springs, served as a general contractor for the construction manager, Weston Solutions, to complete the 25,000-sq-ft, three-story renovation.

The Mitchell Hall project was the third phase of six to modernize the main cafeteria and kitchen building. The scope of work included expanding the kitchen mezzanine floor, all while the facility stayed fully operational. Mitchell Hall serves upwards of 4,500 people at a time, three times a day.

GE Johnson Construction Co.andDavis Partnership Architects, both of Denver, completed the firstWells FargoLEED-certified bank in Colorado in February.

This bank, located in Colorado Springs, achieved a LEED-Silver certification and is only the second LEED-certified Wells Fargo in the country. The bank is approximately 5,200 sq ft and incorporates green-building features that include FSC-certified plywood and insulation made from recycled blue jeans.

Wells Fargo is currently planning two more LEED-certified banks in Denver and Boulder.
